Studies on Dyes

چکیده

"Previous studies showed that repeated ingestion of erythrosine B [Red 3] (artificial food color) developed behavioral hyperactivity, but nothing is known about its single administration effect as well as the neurochemical (s) involvement. ... The degree of erythrosine-induced inhibition of both MA [motor activity] and brain regional serotonergic activity was dosage dependent. ... Altogether these results suggest that a single higher dosage of erythrosine (10200 mg/kg, p.o.) may reduce MA by reducing serotonergic activity with modulation of central dopaminergic activity depending on the brain regions."

Studies on Adsorption of Some Organic Dyes from Aqueous Solution onto Graphene Nanosheets

Graphene, a new member of the carbon family, was used as an adsorbent due to its exceptional capability to remove Rhodamine B (RB) and Malachite Green (MG), two organic dyes, from aqueous solutions. Adsorption kinetics of RB and MG onto graphene and adsorption capacity of the adsorbent were studied. Also the effects of parameters, including pH, contact time, temperature, and adsorbent dosag...

Removal of Reactive Dyes (Green, Orange, and Yellow) from Aqueous Solutions by Peanut Shell Powder as a Natural Adsorbent

Abstract: Background & Aims of the Study: Textile dyes generally are made of synthetic, organic, and aromatic compounds that may be contain of some heavy metals in their structure. Complex structure and presence of these metals cause toxicity and may be mutagen, teratogen or carcinogen. This study has investigated the ability of peanut shell powder to removal of some reactive dyes (Green 19...

Nanodimensional AlMCM-41 material for adsorption of dyes: Thermodynamic and kinetic studies

AlMCM-41 was applied for adsorption of methylene blue (MB) and auramine (AU) in single and binary component systems. In the single component systems, AlMCM-41 represents higher adsorption capacity for MB than AU with the maximal adsorption capacity of 2.07×10−4 and 1.15×10−4 mol/g at 25 ˚C for MB and AU, respectively. In the binary component system, MB and AU exhibit compe...

Basic dyes Removal by Natural Salvadora Persica Adsorbent

In this paper, the results of studies of the sorption activity of Salvadora Persica fine particles that were provided from internal natural resources at Iran, with respect to Crystal Violet, Basic Violet-16 and Basic Blue-41 dyes were presented. Thus, Salvadora Persica particles were modified and prepared via particle size decreasing and characterized by CHNS, XRD, SEM and FT-IR analysis. In th...
